Our identical triplets

(or learning to live after death)

OUR STORY

On March 15th, Marcus and I became the proud parents of three beautiful identical little girls.

Emiliana Opal, Sadie Pearl, and Alexandria Jewel were all born at 10:15 a.m. after an emergency c-section. We were destroyed when we found out that Emiliana passed soon after delivery. The doctors and nurses continued to work with Sadie and Alexandria as they fought hard to hang on. Despite their best efforts, very late that night Sadie and Alexandria joined their sister.

We know that we are in your thoughts and prayers and ask that you continue to keep us there. We have received cards, flowers, and phone messages that have told us how much you all care; and we appreciate them greatly.

THEIR LEGECY

Helping a friend

As many of you know, we collected baby items for the Baylor Midwife Center for the first anniversary of their birth and death.  Everyone was so very generous and the center was so very thankful.  Most of their moms are extremely poor and to have such nice, new items donated really meant a lot to them.  And it meant a lot to us.  To see how everyone was willing to love on us and give so generously in the name of Sadie, Emiliana, and Alexandria was healing in a way that is hard to describe.  It made our hearts sing and helped eased the heavy load of our grief.

This year, we are doing something different. We are raising money for some dear friends of ours in desperate need.  I am looking for people to donate $10 or more.  These friends of mine have done so much for Marcus and I.  We meet them after we lost our triplets.  They lost their triplets three years ago.  They took us by the hand and slowly helped us climb out of our pit of despair.  They showed us how to be parents to angels.  Now we have the chance to help them in their time of need.  They are trying to adopt a beautiful little boy who needs them.  They have had him almost since birth and they are the only parents he has known.  The lawyers involved have forbidden us give any details that could identify the case but know that this case has gone horribly wrong.  I am sure that I cannot raise enough to cover all their expenses but I can raise enough so show my love for my friends and the little boy.  With your help, I can raise enough to lift them up and to honor our beautiful angels in heaven.

Please take a minute and consider giving.  Even $10 would go a long way.

Baylor All Saints Neo Natal ICU

We did it!  Thanks for everybody's help, we raised over $10,000!!!!  I cannot tell you how great it feels to know that people care so much about our girls that they would give sooo generously to the only home they knew other than my belly.  The staff there is beyond awesome and I know our donations will be put to great use.  To honor our achievement, they put our girls name on a statue in the lobby.  Here is a picture of the statue and a close up of the girl’s names (we only had room for nicknames and Ana’s name was miswritten as Anna but that is okay).

And yes!  We still are raising money for the Baylor All Saints Neo Natal ICU.  Your generous donation will ensure that other little babies born there have the best possible chance of survival and ensure that our little ones will have a legacy.  Marcus and I are enterally grateful for their wonderful and kind care of our girls.  Instructions for donations:

1. Click here to go to the Baylor All Saints website.
2. Select the fund for “Women’s and Children’s Services”.
3. Make your donation in memory of The McWaters Triplets.
4. Smile, you help save lives today and you help create positive memories of our girls
